Project Stop Abuse Mom

Merci Melchor once said, “Nothing justifies the abuse of women, mothers, and children. It must stop.”

Project Stop Abuse Mom, led by its main proponent Melissa Lim, was entrusted with the I AM S.A.M. Founder’s Merci Melchor for Battered Women brochures in 2004. The roots of S.A.M. began with the advocacy Stop Abuse Mom, a call to protect women, mothers, and children from all forms of abuse.

These initiatives were urgently undertaken after serious cases of physical, emotional, and financial abuse were brought to the foundation’s attention. Through this project, the advocacy became a voice for women and mothers who suffered in silence, reminding them of their dignity, worth, and right to live free from violence. It also helped strengthen awareness among families and communities that abuse must never be justified, ignored, or tolerated.
